More From Free Range

June 24, 2008

Free Range was a lot of fun. It was really exciting to see the huge range of work that was on display and get the opportunity to put my pictures up at the same time. There were a handful of photographers whose work really blew me away, and I’ll be posting about them when I’m done moving house. It’s difficult to feel the inclination for anything when all my worldly possessions are scattered around several different locations in boxes. For now here’s a picture of me hanging some of Fragments.

Free Range

I’m still without computer, which makes updates a bit difficult. I just wanted to write a quick post to let people know that some of Fragments will be on show at this years Free Range, so if you’re in London any time between the 19th and 23rd June come along and have a look around. The info page for Nottingham Trent can be found here.

Thanks, Time Machine

On Saturday night my house was broken into and my computer taken. Needless to say I am thoroughly angered by the whole thing, not least because I really don’t have the spare cash to be shelling out for a replacement computer any time soon. I’ve been thinking about it quite a lot over the past couple of days since, and now all I can think is that I’m so relieved that I’d been using Time Machine to backup my files externally. The external hard drive that had my backups on it was sitting right next to my computer when it was swiped but managed to go unnoticed, probably because it’s worth comparably little to anybody except me. I hadn’t backed up for over a week but it still means that I haven’t really lost any of my work. The amount of time and grief this has saved me is amazing, so I just want to say thanks Time Machine, and next time you tell me off for not having backed up for 10 days I promise I’ll listen to you.
